"Anything else you'd like to share:"
Though having grown up in Winnipeg, I became increasingly interested in rural practice during medical school. Family Medicine in Winkler led to oncology care and eventually palliative care. I believe that the dying are one of the vulnerable groups in our society, whose care is easily put aside in favour of those parts of medicine dedicated to cure. Caring for those who are dying has caused me to appreciate life and has impacted the way I approach care for all of my patients.
