Summary:
Provides administrative and clinical support for X-ray, laboratory, and diagnostic orthopedic services, coordinating patient scheduling, diagnostic workflows, data entry, billing, and physician support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support X-ray Technologists with daily operations and patient preparation
- Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate X-ray and Lab appointments, including orthopedic clinics
- Prepare imaging and lab requisitions; connect records in RIS/CHR and forward external referrals
- Enter diagnostic results, lab data, injections, and vaccines; perform X-ray billing
- Assist with basic testing (urinalysis, blood sugar, hemoglobin, rapid swabs, EKG downloads)
- Prepare, label, and send patient specimens
- Support prenatal care documentation and WinRho protocols
- Communicate physician instructions, manage inboxes, answer phones, and order clinic supplies
- Record patient measurements (BMI, infant/child growth metrics)
- Provide coverage, maintain clean work areas, and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical facility and medical terminology is an asset
- An understanding of PHIA guidelines is an asset.

X-ray and Lab Admin hours /week 30+ hrs
Shifts vary between 7-8 hrs /day biweekly between 8:00 am -5:00 pm. Occasional work outside of regular clinic hours may be required.
