The health team brings together different health care providers within our clinic to provide the best care for you. Depending on your health care needs, your doctor may ask you to see one of our alternate care providers from our health team. Our team includes:

- respiratory therapist
- chronic disease management clinician
- mental health counsellor
- clinical psychologist
- social worker
- child & adolescent counsellor
- wound care nurse
Some of these providers are also part of a Manitoba Health initiative in delivering primary care services. For more information on Health Team teams visit: https://www.gov.mb.ca/health/primarycare/myhts/teams.html
Physician Assistants act as an extension of your physician and must be supervised by the physician. They can provide your care in consultation with your physician.
A Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a registered nurse who has completed advanced education usually at a master’s level.
NPs are independent practitioners who work with other health care professionals like pharmacists, doctors, social workers, nurses and mental health workers.
Our registered Dietitians are nutrition professionals, trained in the use of nutrition to help prevent and control disease. Counselling sessions are offered as individual or group sessions to help develop a plan of healthy eating based on nutritional needs and medical history. Follow up appointments can be scheduled to monitor progress, answer questions, and provide support.
Respiratory Therapists are health care professionals who work together with other members of the health care team to diagnose and treat people with breathing problems.

Kinesiology is the study of human movement. Most Manitobans do not exercise enough and spend their days sitting. Inactivity has many negative health consequences including risk of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, poor mental health, and early death. A Kinesiologist is an exercise professional who has a 4-year undergraduate degree and additional training to help provide lifestyle and physical activity counselling. A Kinesiologist appointment may benefit you if you:
· do not know how to become active
· do not have time for exercise
· are not sure what exercise is right for you
· want to manage and prevent chronic disease
· want to improve your quality of life and mental health
· want to know what benefits physical activity has for you
Follow up appointments are available to track progress and help support you on your journey.
