COGNITIVE BEHAVIOURAL THERAPY WITH MINDFULNESS CLASSES (CBTm)
Menzies Medical Centre & CW Medical Centre are offering a CBTm CLASS for those 18+. Developed out of the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, the CBTm Classes are designed to teach the fundamental skills of cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT). These skills are effective in the treatment of both anxiety and depression. There is NO COST to attend these classes and will be offered virtually by Zoom for Healthcare.
What to expect? The classes will include both information and experiential learning. Home practice will be recommended weekly. The five classes cover the following material:
- What is CBT?
- Thought records
- Problem Solving
- Goal Setting
- Basics of Exposure Therapy
- Healthy Living
- CBT model of stress
Dates: May 2, 9, 16, 30 & June 6, 2023
Times: 3:00 to 4:30 pm
Place: Virtual by Zoom for Healthcare

*If you struggle with high suicidality, active psychosis, cognitive impairment (e.g., dementia, head injury), or have had extensive cognitive behavior therapy previously, these classes may not be right for you at this time. Please discuss this option further with your treating clinician or family doctor.*
