Hand Expression – after 36 weeks we recommend hand expression. This technique is used to stimualte the milk production process and to release hormones in your body to help get your cervix ready for labour. For help with breastfeeding you can contact your local public health nurse office or your Prenatal Nurse at the CW Wiebe Medical Clinic. They can answer questions and support you with teaching, techniques and connecting you to lactation services.
